| OUR CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES WITH WATER LEAVES US WITH NO OTHER CHOICE: |
| |
| THAN TO BE INDEPENDANT AND SELF SUSTAINABLE |

The National Department of Water Affairs set the standard to clean drinking water for water treatment systems. Together with that, they
continuously monitor and measure our final effluents discharges on waste water treatment systems of municipalities, industries and other activities e.g. the agricultural sector. |
We, as citizens of this beautiful country, have the responsibility in being the managers and masters of what we do to the environment.
The effluents we discharge impacts directly on the water we consume again. Ground water, for example, is no proof for ultra-pure water. Raw Water resources in natural rivers and dams can also not be believed to be of good standard due to activities in your catchment area. |
| THE ANSWER IS: |
| |
| NOT ONLY DO WE WANT TO OBEY THE LAW, BUT WE WANT TO LOOK AFTER OURSELVES: |
| |
Throughout my studies and experience, I gained 8 years of experience in Water Resources Infrastructure in terms of Bulk Raw Water
management under the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry and Municipal Water and Waste Water Treatment Designs in private
sector. I’ve been on the management and engineering team of some of the country’s biggest water treatment projects which South Africa ever experienced. Our main interest, however, lies with small communities and water and waste water infrastructure creation for a
self-sustainable nation. |
